Nothing makes me cringe more than going through my old deviations and seeing how badly I drew things. I guess when I was drawing at the time, I lacked perspective on how things should appear. The idea was conveyed, but the way It looked was... AWFUL. I'm wondering if I'm really better than I was 5-8 years ago when I started this account. I taught myself how to use adobe by playing around with photomanips. Then someone told me you could draw with it (imagine my o: face) but it was so HARD to teach myself. Practice day in and out.
Then, I stopped drawing, almost completely. Stopped the fan art and all of it. Only liked to color and would do that thanks to Gaia Online's Line Art Jam (LAJ) which appears to have been ressurected. I've been taking photos of things since I was 12 and would buy intermediate level cameras so I figured it was time to work on that.
I really really really really really really hope that even though I haven't picked up a pen or pencil to draw much of anything that I've improved. Just knowing that something isn't right means a lot to me. There's time to learn personal style after I learn the correct way to render something, I figure.
